Who Receives Funding

The Texas Bar Foundation will award more than $1,600,000 this bar year to non-profit organizations conducting programs that fit the Foundation’s mission.

A total of $1,509,051 in grants was awarded to 100 organizations during the 2022-2023 grant cycle. Since inception, more than $26 million in grants has been awarded to charitable organizations across Texas.

The Texas Bar Foundation does not make grants to individuals, only to 501(c)3 non-profit organizations as designated by the Internal Revenue Service, government entities, and local bar affiliates. All grant decisions are made by the Texas Bar Foundation Board of Trustees. The Board reserves the right to defer any application to a later grant cycle.
