Emergency Disaster Relief Fund
We're Here To Help
If your area of Texas has been declared a natural disaster area by the Governor of Texas or the President of the United States and you meet our mission, you may be eligible to receive a grant.
Our Mission:
The Texas Bar Foundation solicits charitable contributions and provides funding to enhance the rule of law and the system of justice in Texas, especially for programs that relate to the administration of justice; ethics in the legal profession; legal assistance for the needy; the encouragement of legal research, publications and forums; and the education of the public on the third branch of the government.
Please note: The Texas Bar Foundation awards grants only to 501(c)3 charities serving the State of Texas, and, consequently, no grants are awarded to individuals. Bar Associations, though 501(c)6 organizations can apply for project support that fits the Foundation's mission (above). Special instructions for entities affiliated with the State Bar of Texas can be obtained by calling Foundation staff. Disaster Relief Grants will be given based on the availability of funds.
This Grant Is Not A Subsitute For The Fall Or Spring Grants
This application may NOT be used as a substitute for the Fall or Spring grant applications. Organizations MUST make sure the correct application is submitted. Fall and Spring grant cycles have a cutoff date and time that will NOT be modified under any circumstances.
