Texas Advocacy Project
The Texas Bar Foundation awarded a $25,000 grant to support the Texas Advocacy Project (TAP) in launching a legal education video series designed to make legal knowledge more accessible and survivor-focused. In today’s world of short-form content on platforms like Instagram and TikTok, audiences are increasingly drawn to brief, engaging, and informative videos. TAP’s series embraces this format—creating videos under five minutes that are easy to understand, convenient to watch, and responsive to the needs and preferences of survivors.
Legal information can be complex, and for victims of trauma, traditional methods of education may be especially challenging. TAP’s innovative video approach helps bridge that gap—offering content that is not only informative, but also empowering. By presenting legal concepts in a clear, compassionate, and digestible format, TAP is helping survivors gain the knowledge and confidence they need to navigate the legal system.
