Step 2 - Create Your Online Account

If you've checked your eligibility and are qualified to receive a Texas Bar Foundation grant, please review the instructions on how to create your online account. You must first create an online account in our grants portal in order to apply for our grants.

Now That You've Reviewed The Instructions, Continue To Step 3.

Step 3 - Apply For Your Grant

A grant applicant creates an account in the Online Grants Portal, and then logs on to that account to access and start a new grant application. Your application can be saved as a draft, and when you log on again it’s easy to return to that draft, make edits, and submit the application. Each account maintains a record of the application history that you can access at any time.

Once a grant is awarded, the Online Grants Portal allows grantees an easy way to see the status of their grant, check due dates, and submit electronic grant reports right from their account. No paper applications will be accepted. Please email Amy Weir at aweir@txbf.org or call us at 512-480-8000 if you have questions.

Current Grantees

If you are a current grantee, you can log in to the portal to submit reports.

Hurricane Harvey Emergency Grants

Who Receives Funding

The Texas Bar Foundation will award over $1,200,000 this bar year to non profit organizations conducting programs that fit the Foundation’s mission.

A total of $1,248,297 in grants was awarded to 83 organizations during the 2021-2022 grant cycle. Since inception, more than $24 million in grants has been awarded to charitable organizations across Texas.

The Texas Bar Foundation does not make grants to individuals, only to 501(c)3 organizations as designated by the Internal Revenue Service or affiliates of the State Bar of Texas. All grant decisions are made by the Texas Bar Foundation Board of Trustees. The Board reserves the right to defer any application to a later grant cycle.
